Jamarcus Russel to work out with Ravens????

Jamarcus Russell announced that he will be attending a workout session with the Ravens in attempt to lock up the backup QB job. No Ravens official has confirmed the meeting. The Ravens' current backups Tyrod Taylor and Caleb Hanie have seen little action, Taylor, attempted only 18 passes in 2 NFL seasons and Hanie, has 4 career starts in the last 5 years. Russell may be an interesting fit for the Ravens, as his comeback may motivate other players.

The Ravens owner, Steve Bisciotti, has approached Ravens Quarterback, Joe Flacco, and told him he will be the next leader of the Baltimore Ravens. With the departure of Ray Lewis, the Ravens were in need of someone to step up, and clearly, Bisciotti took matters into his own hands labeling Flacco as their next leder.
